SPWP began in 2014 with the aim of helping redress the significant gender imbalance in the field of philosophy. So far, SPWP has operated on something of a shoestring budget, cobbled together from various generous intramural and extramural sources. However, many of these sources of support are either non-renewing or have scaled back over time. Our continued operation therefore requires extramural fundraising from institutions and also from individual donors like yourself, so if you believe in the mission of SPWP, please consider making a tax-deductible contribution by following the links! JANUARY 2016 UPDATE: UC San Diego’s Executive Vice Chancellor’s Office has generously promised to provide matching funds of $100,000 once we raise that amount ourselves! We recently received an extremely generous contribution of $50,000, which puts us halfway toward this target — your own gift will help close the gap and help the impact of all of this year’s gifts get multiplied!
